CULTURES OF THE EROTIC IN SPAIN, 1898-1939

To escape the heat of an August day in Madrid, Maite Zubiaurre ducked into an antique shop and there among world globes and old maps, she discovered a peculiar photo album. Tucked away among formal photos of King Alphonso XIII and Queen Isabel II was a whole collection of images of naked women and men. And, unlike the King, these women and men were not just posing. Rather they were engaged in a variety of "unnatural" sex acts, acts clearly at odds with the Spanish Catholic Church's doctrine that sex should serve for procreation alone: menages a trois, fellatio, cunnilingus, and zoophilia. But perhaps the most surprising images of the collection were a series of photos and sketches devoted to nuns and priests frolicking together on consecrated ground.

Zubiaurre realized she had discovered more than just a half-hidden collection of "naughty pictures," rather, she held in her hands a wealth of suppressed or forgotten materials that revealed a subversive countercurrent to the orthodoxies of Spain's male-dominated official high culture in the early 20th century. She set about to study these images and others like them as counter-text to traditional narratives of and about the time.

The result, Cultures of the Erotic in Spain, 1898-1939, is the first academic book to analyze the rich array of visual and textual representations of the erotic in Spanish popular culture during the first half of the twentieth century. It examines erotic magazines, illustrations, photographs, stereoscopic images, "French" postcards, and pornographic short films, as well as erotic novelettes, texts and images on naturism and nudism, writings on early sexology and psychoanalysis, moral-judicial treatises and philosophical essays on sexual love.

Cultures of the Erotic reveals a candid and irreverent Spain, which, before succumbing to the stifling circumstances of the post-Civil War Franco dictatorship, reveled in the undying impulses of the human libido.

This study of the Free Love Movement in the mid-to-late 1800s examines the situated knowledge of women and men who participated in the movement, how they articulated the platform, and contributed to its exposure by writing and publishing their ideas, arguments and concerns. While all Free Love participants claimed benefits and freedoms from the practice, this book is the first to compare the benefits and political agendas experienced by the male participants with those experienced by the females. The importance of this work lies in its potential to inform current political resistance against the inequality inherent in legislation that strives to restrict sexual freedom in the United States, and its potential to contribute to the overall well-being of women, men and the society they live in.

INSATIABLE WOMEN

This enlightening work investigates the history, incidence, and causes of a unique sexual lifestyle pursued by increasing numbers of couples. It is called by many names, and lived in a variety of ways by different couples. The most common terms used to describe it are 'hotwife' or 'cuckold lifestyle.' This sexual practice, a form of sexual nonmonogamy, is distinguished from swinging and polyamory in that the husband rarely seeks sexual contact outside the marriage except for participation in group sex with his wife and other men, while the wife is permitted and often encouraged to pursue unrestrained sexual encounters with other men. The author includes interviews and comments from couples living the lifestyle throughout the U.S., and presents the stories in an attempt to determine the history of this sexual practice and its role in society and in relationships. He explores the psychological, social, biological, and evolutionary underpinnings of this uncommon and socially taboo behavior in an effort to make it more comprehensible to those engaged in the lifestyle and those who are just curious.

Μια πρωτότυπη και σημαντική εργασία ολοκληρώθηκε μέσα στο πρώτο εξάμηνο του 2016 και κυκλοφόρησε σε τομίδιο με τη μέθοδο της ενισχυμένης θερμοκόλλησης:
• Οι Εναλλακτικές Μορφές Σεξουαλικής Συμπεριφοράς στον Έντυπο και Ηλεκτρονικό Τύπο 2005 – 2016 [Πρώτη Έκδοση, «Βιβλιοθήκη Ηδονισμού», 1 Απριλίου 2016, 79 σελίδες]

2. ΑΓΟΡΕΣ / ΠΑΡΑΓΓΕΛΙΕΣ
Οι αγορές εντύπων καταχωρίζονται στο συγκεντρωτικό έντυπο «βιβλίο εισαγωγής» για κάθε έτος, στο οποίο αναφέρονται τα εξής στοιχεία: χρονολογία εισαγωγής, Α/Α εισαγωγής, συγγραφέας/επιμελητής, τίτλος, αριθ. αντιτύπων, εκδότης, έτος έκδοσης και πηγή προέλευσης.
Όλες οι εισαγωγές εντύπων, ταινιών και φωτογραφιών αναρτώνται στο βασικό ιστολόγιο της «Βιβλιοθήκης Ηδονισμού» [http://speciallibrary-angmimik.blogspot.gr] στον Blogger.

Η διαδικασία καταγραφής είναι απλή: αποδελτίωση και ευρετηρίαση για τα περιοδικά,  σύντομη περιγραφή για τα βιβλία και περίληψη για τις ταινίες.

Οι παραγγελίες τοποθετούνται με γνώμονα τη διαχρονική αξία του εντύπου, την απήχησή του στoν χώρο και τη γλώσσα στην οποία εκδιδόταν. Οπωσδήποτε λαμβάνονται υπόψη η κατάσταση του εντύπου και η τιμή, χωρίς όμως η τελευταία να είναι ο καθοριστικός παράγοντας απόκτησης.

Οι προμηθευτές της «Βιβλιοθήκης Ηδονισμού» συνεργάζονται με διαδικτυακούς ομίλους (AbeBooks, Alibris, Amazon, ebay), τις υπηρεσίες των οποίων χρησιμοποιεί αυτή από τις 5 Δεκεμβρίου 2011, είναι κατά βάση βιβλιοπωλεία και μεμονωμένοι ιδιώτες πωλητές. Μεγάλος αριθμός τίτλων προέρχεται από αποχαρακτηρισμό εντύπων δημόσιων και ιδιωτικών βιβλιοθηκών της αλλοδαπής.

Η παραλαβή των παραγγελιών γίνεται σε εύλογο χρονικό διάστημα που συνήθως δεν υπερβαίνει τις τριάντα (30) εργάσιμες ημέρες από την τοποθέτησή τους.

Το  πρώτο εξάμηνοι του 2016 δεν τοποθετήθηκε καμια παραγγελία λόγω των κεφαλαιακών περιορισμών που ισχύουν.
Το  ενιαίο πρωτόκολλο αλληλογραφίας για τις δύο βιβλιοθήκες περιλαμβάνει 48 εισερχόμενα και 5 εξερχόμενα αντικείμενα, ενώ η ονομαστική αξία γραμματοσήμων που καταβλήθηκε το διάστημα αυτό ανήλθε σε €9,32Λ.


3. ΒΙΒΛΙΟΔΕΣΙΑ
Συνεχίστηκε κανονικά με μειωμένο ρυθμό η βιβλιοδεσία άρθρων, διατριβών, θέσεων και μελετών σε τομίδια με τη μέθοδο της απλής ή ενισχυμένης θερμοκόλλησης. Διατριβές, θέσεις και εκτενή άρθρα άνω των 160 σελίδων αποθηκεύονται σε αριθμημένους ψηφιακούς δίσκους και εκτυπώνονται σε έντυπη μορφή, μόνο κατόπιν προπληρωμένης παραγγελίας, σε μέλη του ιστότοπου «ΕΛΛΗΝΕΣ ΗΔΟΝΙΣΤΕΣ» [http://libertinism.gr].

Συνολικά έχουν ταξινομηθεί μέχρι στιγμής 170 εργασίες ερευνητών σε αμερικανικά και ευρωπαϊκά εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα, που καλύπτουν όλους σχεδόν τους εναλλακτικούς τρόπους σεξουαλικής συμπεριφοράς από την ανοικτή σχέση μέχρι την ομαδογαμία.

[Η Google από το 2010 έχει προσθέσει στην υπηρεσία Blogger αναλυτικά στατιστικά στοιχεία που περιλαμβάνουν αξιοποιήσιμες πληροφορίες για τους διαχειριστές ιστολογίων, όπως προβολές αναρτήσεων (τώρα, ημέρα, εβδομάδα, μήνα και συνολικά από την έναρξη λειτουργίας), παραπομπή ιστότοπου και ιστοσελίδας, χώρα προέλευσης, προβολές σελίδας κατά φυλλομετρητή και λειτουργικό σύστημα, λέξεις-κλειδιά αναζήτησης και κατατοπιστικά δίχρωμα γραφήματα)]

5. ΕΜΠΛΟΥΤΙΣΜΟΣ ΦΩΤΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟΥ ΑΡΧΕΙΟΥ
Κατά την περίοδο 3 – 30 Ιουνίου 2016  παρελήφθησαν εκατό ένδεκα (111) ψηφιακοί δίσκοι με 14.235 φωτογραφίες σε υψηλή ανάλυση, προσφορά του Αμερικανού φωτορεπόρτερ Leif Heilberg από διάφορες γυμνές εκδηλώσεις στον Άγιο Φραγκίσκο την περίοδο 2001 – 2016.


6. KAΤΑΛΟΓΟΣ ΠΕΡΙΕΧΟΜΕΝΩΝ «ΒΙΒΛΙΟΘΗΚΗΣ ΗΔΟΝΙΣΜΟΥ»
Η πρώτη έκδοση του 46σέλιδου καταλόγου περιεχομένων της «Βιβλιοθήκης Ηδονισμού», κατά συγγραφέα/επιμελητή,  ολοκληρώθηκε και είναι διαθέσιμη σε έντυπη και ηλεκτρονική μορφή. Ο κατάλογος περιλαμβάνει τις αγορές και προσθήκες εντύπων μέχρι και τις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2014. Ο συνολικός αριθμός εντύπων ανέρχεται σε 416.
Η δεύτερη, αναθεωρημένη και επαυξημένη, έκδοση κατά τίτλο θα είναι διαθέσιμη σε έντυπη και ηλεκτρονική μορφή στις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2017.


7. ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΑ ΣΕ ΕΞΕΛΙΞΗ
7.1. Σταδιακή εγγραφή σε ψηφιακή μορφή των σημαντικότερων άρθρων περιοδικών και εγγράφων για εύκολη πρόσβαση των χρηστών/μελετητών. Προς το παρόν γίνεται μόνο αποδελτίωση και ευρετηρίαση των περιοδικών με το νέο σύστημα που υιοθετήθηκε τον Νοέμβριο 2011.

7.2. Η «Βιβλιοθήκη Ηδονισμού» παρέχει, κατόπιν αιτήματος του ενδιαφερομένου, φωτοαντίγραφα άρθρων από μεμονωμένα τεύχη ή δεμένους τόμους περιοδικών με μικρή επιβάρυνση, χωρίς να απαιτείται η φυσική παρουσία του στην Εκάλη. Όμως όλες οι παραγγελίες προκαταβάλλονται.
Η αποστολή γίνεται σε ουδέτερο φάκελο με τέλη πρώτης προτεραιότητας εσωτερικού ή εξωτερικού (ζώνη 1 και 2) στη διεύθυνση που γνωστοποιείται εγκαίρως. Πρόσθετη επιβάρυνση για τέλη ειδικής διαχείρισης (συστημένου και κατεπείγοντος).

7.3. Καθημερινή αναζήτηση στο Διαδίκτυο θεμάτων που παρουσιάζουν ενδιαφέρον για τους αναγνώστες των ιστολογίων της «Βιβλιοθήκης Ηδονισμού». Κοινοποιούνται οι αντίστοιχοι σύνδεσμοι για άμεση, έγκαιρη και υπεύθυνη ενημέρωση στην αρχική γλώσσα χωρίς την παρεμβολή άλλων ιστότοπων.

7.4. Από τους διαδικτυακούς διαύλους «Dailymotion», «Vimeo», «xHamster» και «YouTube» επιλέγονται αντιπροσωπευτικά βίντεο, οι σύνδεσμοι των οποίων αναρτώνται στα αντίστοιχα ιστολόγια.

8. ΤΑΚΤΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ ΑΡΧΕΙΟΥ ΑΛΛΗΛΟΓΡΑΦΙΑΣ
Η τρέχουσα αλληλογραφία, παραδοσιακή και ηλεκτρονική, αρχειοθετείται σε ανθεκτικoύς χαρτοφύλακες ή αριθμημένους ψηφιακούς δίσκους. Με τη συμπλήρωση του ημερολογιακού έτους, ανάλογα με τον όγκο της, η παραδοσιακή (έντυπη) βιβλιοδετείται σε τομίδια με τη μέθοδο της απλής ή ενισχυμένης θερμοκόλλησης.
